We are a non-profit and voluntary organization which started among international classmates of Stanford University Business School, but is now supported by our members in many countries. We consist of about hundreds of members in the world and the number is growing very rapidly.
GLOBERS is an e-mail network. All members are listed in our e-mail list and you can reach all of us just by sending a e-mail to our e-mail server. Members share their unique experience in abroad and/or teach their culture in their homelands. You can ask foreign issue to other members and some of them might answer. The answer may be much more precious and up-to-date than any travel guidebooks!
We exchange e-mails all over the world.
All members have access to our mailing list, and just by mailing
the list, your mail will be delivered to hundreds of GLOBERS
members.
Main issue we exchange is REAL culture and REAL information of any countries members are interested. Say, you have no idea where is Iceland. Just ask where it is and what is going on there. You will know the most trendy dating place, the most traditional dish, and a tipical life. The most important thing is the natives will give you such information.
Say, if you are going to go to a Chinese restaurant next week, ask members what is the best food! You will find it and much more related to dishes! Then, if you want, you can discuss the difference of cooking style between Chinese cuisine and your home made style with native Chinese. Understand our value??
Why this is possible? It is because our members consists of varieties of nationality, race, sex, age, and interest.
